General Rules

Don't bring goodies into the Library Media Center (LMC). Books and computers don't mix with drinks, gum, candy, and other munchies.
The library will be open from 7:30 - 3:15 P.M.

Books from the general collection are checked out for two weeks at a time and may be renewed for an additional two weeks unless they have been requested by another student.

All books and materials need to be checked out properly at the circulation desk. Materials not checked out will be considered stolen.

Remember you are responsible for all materials checked out of the LMC - check materials for damage before you leave the LMC - or you may be held responsible.

Use the LMC for research, study, quiet conversation, and a quite place to relax. Please think of others as you use the library.

Push in chairs and clean up the surrounding area when you leave the LMC.
Periodicals and reference materials are to be used within the LMC. You will need a pass from your teacher to use the LMC.
Reference materials such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases and almanacs can not be checked out, but you can make photo copies on the media center photo copy machine for 10 cents per page.

Overdue Policy

A fine of ten cents ($0.10) per school day will be charged for overdue books.
Overdue lists will be printed and posted in the LMC every week.
Funds collected from fines and lost books will be used to purchase new titles or materials for the library.
Students with late or lost materials may be denied further circulation privileges until the materials are returned to the LMC and fines paid.
Students will not be checked out at the end of the school year until all LMC fines have been paid, and/or all books have been returned.
Receipts are kept by the media specialist and the main office.
If the lost materials are found within the same school year, the reimbursement is refunded.

Computer Use

Students need to have permission from the librarian to log in at a computer station.
Students are expected to follow the Acceptable Use Policy .
